Dan Tawfik is Chief Operating Officer of Geoquant Inc. Prior to this he was a Principal at Control Risks, where he helped manage and lead strategic engagements for the consultancy’s risk analysis practice, with over 100 analysts based globally. Before that Dan was a Director at Eurasia Group, where he managed that firm’s largest global client relationships and key growth initiatives, including executive education in political risk management. In another life, Dan led the Americas transaction team at Iridium Partners, a boutique Investment Bank and Private Equity advisory, and served as an Associate in the Corporate Development group of Marsh & McLennan Companies. Dan also teaches graduate level geopolitical risk management as an Adjunct Professor at New York University’s Center for Global Affairs, as a lecturer at the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University and through an annual course at Yale’s Jackson Institute for Global Affairs. Dan holds a BA in Macro Economics from New York University, an MS in International Affairs from the New School, speaks Spanish and is learning French (very slowly).
